Cosmopersians A Cosmopersian is an International Persian. Our belief is that the world needs a cosmopolitan class of people to manage our planet for the benefit of all mankind and the living world. Such a class will be drawn from all variety of peoples from different nations. However for that class of people to work together effectively we think they need to adopt a common cultural identity to go alongside their different national ones. We think that a Persian identity is the best ethnic identity for this class to take up, because of the importance of Persia and Persian culture in world history and its multiple connections with many of the important cultures of the world. In particular we consider that the figures of Zoroaster and of King Cyrus the Great have great possibility to be figures that can help bring the world together. Cosmopersians imagine themselves to be the future governing class of an emergent New Persian Empire, and work to develop their adopted Persian cultural identity as well as their personal attitudes and skills etc needed to be useful in that role. The languages of the Cosmopersian community are English and International Persian (which is modern Persian written in the Latin script). MZ April 2024 |
