Quotes to give a window into renovationist philosophy

NB Renovationism is not necessarily compatible with Neosocialism

In a world economy, your nation has three choices:

1) Monopolization by multinational business magnates and banking institutions (neoliberal)
2) Monopolization by the state and its mandated institutions (state 'socialist'/'state capitalist')
3) Secession from the global economy completely, with an entirely independent and localized productive sector (autarky)

Unfortunately, the latter is met with the fiercest resistance by the international establishment, and the second option is only 'allowed to exist,' so long as its existence benefits the major economic players in some way.

Those that maintain the latter become pariahs, and those that choose the secondary, face a long road filled with compromise and corruption on an unprecedented scale.

Therefore, before ascending to an ideal state of independence, the country as a whole must be united politically, culturally, and economically; and moreover, able to survive without aid or traditional support from foreign nations.

Although, mutual aid is important between like-minded powers, for both economic and scientific (ecological) reasons, before nations may take part in this type of trade, they must secure their autonomy first.

Cost, by itself, isn't the issue.

It is man's frequent unawareness of cost and his merciless desire to free himself from cost, most often at any cost, where possible.

Man screws himself the hardest, in his never-ending race against reality... darting away from the truth, at every turn.

His most profound ignorance? The belief that his actions only affect him, and that any ripple effect upon his surroundings is negligible and minute. They all learn, eventually, and those connected bare the curse of learning, all too genuinely, along with them.

Traditionalism and progressivism, so-called, must both be relinquished to the State and subject to its oversight, just as with any philosophy or creed.

It is no longer enough to 'let the chips fall where they may,' when it comes to the equilibrium of society as a whole. Laissez faire thinking and practice, so to speak, only encourage the exponential increase of chaos within our civilization, and must be shunned.

Calculations must be made, realistic modes of adaption should be considered, and all variations of hard truth require recognition -- both the immediate and the longstanding.

"Take from both ends of the spectrum, those ideals which serve your people, while discarding those that don't.

"It is not enough to break even in the face of losses. The disciplined see a setback, and simply approach it like an additional set of stairs to climb, ever-focused on the goal at hand.

When the productive leaders within a movement take on this mindset and apply it, we see the first steps toward the creation of a labour aristocracy -- a vanguard of the various organic classes that form the functional basis of proper civilization."

From, "Speculation On Governing Models Within The Renovationist Idea."

"Syndical associations are integral to the establishment of a potent movement, and its successive administrative restructuring.

These groupings will exist at various levels, depending on overall scope, utility, and organic distribution, along with relationship to resource distribution and acquisition.

Primary examples are as follows...

i) The syndicate, in wide-range economic settings. Encompassing large-scale public companies, labour firms, and state organizations.
ii) The guild, on regionalized and inter-communal levels. Including federations and combines of local business entities, both public and private, within industrial, agricultural, and technological sections.
iii) The council, within a local setting, among the many communities and communes. Consists of individual citizens and serves as the smallest administrative unit.

Politically, we must tie these together as a collective, and we'll have the necessary legislative entity to operate alongside an ideologically-uniform judiciary.

Legislative leaders will come from the various sectors, nominated by their members, and appointed by the executive leadership.

Following a stringent, state-run vetting process under judicial oversight, at the behest of a permanent series of by-laws.

Levels within the legislature will be adjusted for the national condition, in accordance with Renovationist philosophy, and distribution of leadership numbers and terms of service will be based on size and state of the overall population."

"We seek no less than a revolution from the ground up, just as well as the top down, encompassing every first and last piece of society. Integration of this kind, can only be found in a new kind of socialism...

One that suits the particular condition and tastes of the greater country.

A Socialism for the nation -- proud and unwavering, in the face of injustice.
Not a nation for 'socialism' -- malignant and sterile, bereft of spirit and humanity."

"Humanity was neither made, nor did it evolve to be defined by its financial status and aptitude for consumption.

Proper societies consist of loyal citizens, not materialistic consumers.

Selling consumer status as a badge of personal liberty and success, has been one of the modern West's most malignant and contemptible acts, to date; moreover, the utilization of public education to this end, is the focal point by which capitalism is successively forced on each generation of people, within society."

"It takes a strong will to face the uncertainty of night, but true courage can be found in those who choose to face the sun, and make the day their own."

"Ultimately, what rots societies from the inside, are its neglected gardens...

When corruption, betrayal, and moral pestilence are allowed to take root, as is the case with weeds or a malignant fungus, it takes very little time for this disease to spread to the rest of society.

As such, citizens must be gardeners and stewards of their homeland, ever-vigilant in the face of degradation."

The State is eternal... Not something to be "limited wherever possible" or "slowly withered away." It is a prime expression of our civilization, and the people who live and thrive in it.

"If one were to look at the era of high technology (that blurred region between the Information Age and the indefinite present), one of a rational mind would see the level of damage done to the natural world through so-called 'advancements,' wielded by those in positions of power.

In our collective hubris, enabled by ignorance perpetuated at all levels, we have taken the earth with all of its ecosystems, and set it on a collision course with decay and degradation on an unimaginable scale.

That being said, I think it's suffice to say, we shouldn't tamper with the human body in the same manner, with the same tools and attitudes of an era that would be better seen reversed and used as an example for future civilizations, on what not to do with the gifts we are given.

In every sense of meaning, the Renovationist is anti-Transhumanist, opposing unnatural body modifications and the systemic complexes that would support and maintain these experiments. Look what we've done to the earth, just imagine what awaits the mind, and by extension, the spirit."

You can't speak of independence, while your people's resources are in foreign hands.

"Mass action against established hierarchies, necessitates the creation of a new hierarchy, a functional hierarchy, to replace the old.

A properly-regimented body, one that is prepared to take on the task of transitioning society from a lesser state, to a greater one, with each and every loyal citizen behind it, ready to serve.

Unfortunately, in the pursuit of sweeping change however, amidst the heat, many fall victim to the utopian ramblings of bygone philosophers and their failed ideologies...

In the face of this, the Renovationist says 'no,' and rejects the subversive mentalities of those who would take pleasure in seeing the world reduced to chaos and disorder."

"It is the great deceiver and destroyer of nations.
The most foul disease, by which innumerable ideas and movements have degraded and decayed, until they were no more...
Materialism -- When catalyzed by human arrogance, and sealed in the decimation of all that is organic and harmonious, it becomes the ultimate enemy of the natural world."

"A clear-cut definition of good and evil is necessary for a civilization to work properly.

In whatever vestige a society places its faith, whether it be a Great Myth, Divinely-inspired leadership, or the blessing of a nation's ancestors and historical tradition, some form of legitimacy is required to efficiently unite the people in a common cause.

This is an evolutionary fact, and is inescapable.

Thusly, the political and the spiritual are ultimately, inseparable in any given society, and the Enlightenment 'ideals' of state separation from religious bodies and ahistorical origins of the nation as a whole, are respectively obsolete and corrupt."

"Harmony between sections in society is of upmost importance, not just from the standpoint of stabilization, but also as the first monumental step toward spiritual equilibrium, and true self-awareness amidst the mass...

As a civilization draws closer to self-realization, so too will it draw closer to a proper and refined understanding of the divine."

The State is, by definition, a social entity, and must stand firm in the face of moral subversion.
Look with scorn upon any government that aligns itself with private enterprise, for these are not governments, but conglomerates hell-bent on reducing the citizen to consumer status.

When a nation demands respect from the global stage for their right to self-determination, while refusing to recognize the sovereign rights of other nations and displaced peoples around the world, that nation forfeits its right to respect of any sort.

That's the problem with contemporary left and right ideologies, respectively: They seek to either tear down organic and sound institutions, or preserve decaying and dying ones.

Those that aren't able to learn from their history, cannot be expected to learn from their gods... Or for that matter, any standard derived from trial and error.

He (the capitalist man) will invest in every inorganic means of placating the mind, in lieu of the disaster he has created for himself, before admitting that his system is inherently flawed (much less, wrong altogether).

"Fairweather truths are easy to find, but hard truths like to find us."

Embrace hard truth, and flourish!

A true leader expresses the voice of a people more adequately, than a thinly-veiled method of systemic compromise.

Take the (e)nlightenment values and industrial tendencies out of socialism and syndicalism, then replace them with integral tradition and deep ecology, and voilĂ !

The winning formula.
