Striving towards the Good

PsychosophismPsychosophism is a practice of 'sophistication of the mind and soul' - i.e. of developing the innate wisdom of mind and soul.Gnosticism is a kind of Psychosophism, but its focus is on developing the mind, rather than on developing the character of the soul in a rounded way. Other practices may help in other ways - such as to develop selfless concern or in the appreciation of beauty. There is no specific Zartian practice of psychosophism at present and Zartians are encouraged to look to teachers from other traditions. In particular we mention the established traditions of Stoicism, Buddhism and Neoplatonism. Some may also be interested in more religious traditions such as Christian (e.g. Orthodox) spirituality, Catharism or Sufism. There may also be value in some modern practices promoted as psychotherapy. Updated Mar 2025 |
